Amristar Delivers the M1 Validator for DELWP in Victoria

Amristar’s engagement with the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning (DELWP) Victoria dates back to 2016. This was in conjunction with the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI, now FrontierSI) to translate the outcomes of Semantic Processing Techniques PhD research into a working Proof of Concept for a Validator Service.

The Validator Service automated the validation of M1 forms used to submit changes to DELWP’s property and address data. These forms were previously manually validated, a process that could take up to several weeks. The new M1 Validator cut this time down to several minutes.

The Proof of Concept was a roaring success, which lead to DELWP engaging Amristar for Business Analysis services to develop a detailed plan for the full implementation and production rollout of this service in 2018. This cumulated in the production development of the M1 Validator Service, which was provided to DELWP in October 2019, ready for integration with its wider VicMap Editing Service.

“Amristar were a great team to work with on the M1 Validator for DELWP. Dan and Andrew went above and beyond to ensure the project went smoothly and were fully committed to client satisfaction.”

Sam Lu, Senior Project Officer, DELWP
